The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming boxing match.
Former two-time unified title holder Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.
"I plan to damage his features and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will seriously aim to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Despite such comments, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically recognized for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul rather attacked ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK rival Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.
"I acknowledge that."
Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.
Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, regularly earning huge financial rewards.
The 28-year-old anticipated a KO victory in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.
As Joshua and Paul met for the usual face-off, with their height and weight contrast evident, it drove home just how improbable this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is actually proceeding.
